Hello, selam, merhaba, my name is Shushan. I write poetry and consult as an alt-text writer.

My areas of interest span from queer, black feminist thought to mapping waste streams.

As an interdisciplinary practitioner, I integrate methodologies from my background in art, craft, education, environmental design, and community planning.

My practice has included arts research, writing, photography, drawing, fiber arts, furniture design, facilitation and most importantly transforming ideas into worlds with the black femmes in my life.

My work considers the relationships between all spheres of the social ecology model and honors the dignity of living things and their environments.

My hope is to make our individual and collective right to well-being more accessible. For we all have a right to experience pleasure, clarity, safety, and justice.
